I appreciate the welcome. Sometimes the new surrounds are uncertain.

Of course. I hope that uncertainty transforms into the most beautiful of things!

Oh my gosh, what a journey it was to swim through the sea of your heart. These three pieces of oceanic art are so stunning and emotive. I can feel saltwater rising in my body just from reading these precious words. I feel like I’m in the body of water that is your poetry and I don’t want to get out yet, but rather float here for a while.

So incredible my beautiful Nadia!! 🩵🐋🐚🧜🏼‍♀️

"i breathe in the salt,

opening my mouth wide, and

swallow the whole world—

fish and seaweed and tiny krill,

all their feelings and thoughts live now through me" -- I had to read this several times before I felt like I could possibly even formulate what I want to say... I felt the whale within my own chest ride the waves of this gorgeous poem. The manner in which you are able to personify the ocean and play with the magic that exists within us all is so beautiful!

Oh my God. This poem was breathtaking. I had to remind myself to exhale right after reading the first one. I felt the whole of it in such a visceral way. The heart as a blue whale has to be one of the most unforgettable images I’ve read. Your writing made me hear every heart beat of the whale, every rhythm of its breath as it rises through the sea.

Also the form of this poem, wow! The way it flows from one line to the next. Like long ripples cast in a river. “your hands, untouchable joys— “ I LOVE this line so much. The second and the third poem are gorgeous too, and I love how the third poem threads into the first one. The “heart’s mermaid heart” yes!! 😍

When I read something so beautiful, it feels to me like a sacred experience. Thank you, Nadia.

My dear Trivarna, thank you so much for your incredibly kind and thoughtful words! I'm truly overwhelmed by your response, it means the world to me that the poems spoke to you in this way, it's amazing how poetry can connect us in such a visceral way.

Your description of the poem as long ripples in a river is such a beautiful way to put it and made me smile so wide🥰

Also, I have to say that your workshops and writing community, as you know, were the source of inspiration for these poems! The space you created and the insights you shared really opened up new creative pathways for me, and I’m so grateful for that. Thank you, again, for taking the time to share your thoughts with me in such a heartfelt way, it really made my heart smile🤍
